There are no known parents.

Dahlias originate in Central America and were already cultivated by the Aztecs. Today there are plenty of cultivated varieties in different sizes and shapes. Dahlias are frost-sensitive; you should dig the tubers up before the ground freezes and store them in a cool and dry place during the winter.
